Where To Find Quality Photos For Your Real Estate Website For Free

If you’re reading this post, you probably already have a website, a logo and a set of design decisions for your website and brand. This post will give you additional resources to help support your branding efforts.

High quality photos, graphics and where you share them on social media platforms are effective ways of promoting your brand. Today, I’m sharing a few free options for getting high quality images that are easily accessible to anyone.

While photos and graphics support your message and help you communicate your message, there are a few tips to keep in mind to help you grab your reader’s attention:

  • Maintain your brand ‘theme’. Select photos that are ‘in keeping’ with the look and feel of your website, social media profiles, etc.
  • Find unique images that will capture the attention of your readers. Differentiate yourself from your competition but choose wisely.
  • Experiment with new graphics such as infographics. For example, design a market report as an infographic. People like sharing these types of things on Facebook – and it helps you advertise your services. (also share with local reporters!)

1. PicJumbo

For photos, explore the ‘business section‘ and the ‘people section‘ – these are my favorite sections.  For example, maybe you’re writing a blog post about a neighborhood or an event around your city. If you don’t have a quality photo handy that supports the message of your post, you’ll likely find the perfect photo at PicJumbo.

Here’s an example photo from PicJumbo:

2. FreePik

FreePik provides a wide range of images, icons and photoshop files perfect for your website, postcards or other branding material.

Have you ever thought of creating an infographic of monthly market data, creating a blog post and emailing to your list? Check out the vector section on Freepik. For infographic vectors, you’ll probably find the best stuff here: FreePik Business Vectors.

3. Canva

Canva is probably one of our favorite resources for graphics for nearly any purpose.

If you need a quick way to generate graphics for social media, facebook banner, or facebook ads, you can find it here. The easy user interface takes the guess work out of sizing images correctly and save tons of time. They have a good selection of ‘free’ choices and paid options as well.

Here’s an example of a Facebook graphic created in a matter of minutes:

If you’re looking for images and video, try Pixabay. Pixabay do not require attribution which means you can basically do what you want with the images you download.

And finally, if you can’t find what you’re looking for with these ‘free’ options, you can always try Shutterstock or BigStockPhoto.
